Anne Hathaway Is Reviving Her Iconic Pre-Makeover Princess Diaries Hair

Justice at last for all of us who felt that there was no need for Anne Hathaway to have straightened her hair in the original Princess Diaries movie.

For her new Versace campaign, the Oscar winner has revived the big, curly mane from before her princess makeover. Personally, I hope she keeps this style forever. Or at least for a little while.

Even Anne Hathaway's stylist, Erin Walsh, made the Mia Thermopolis connection. On Instagram, Erin posted one of Anne's looks, this one featuring the actor in a denim-on-denim ensemble of corset top, jeans, and jacket.

“Blue Jean Baby 💙 Iconic as ever, @annehathaway in the new @versace campaign serving past, present and future,” the stylist wrote in the caption. “Don’t you think princess Mia would dig this???”

Why, yes, as a matter of fact. I do.

Other looks from the campaign show the grown-up princess in a button-up shirtdress, a skintight black leather number, and a structured blazer with gold button details, while holding versions of the iconic Versace Medusa ’95 handbag.

On her own Instagram, Donatella Versace wrote, “Anne Hathaway, what a talent you are. I am so proud to see your Versace Icons evolution. The collection comes to life when I see you wear it- and your magic comes through in every image. You are... Very Versace.”

For her part, Anne Hathaway wrote on Instagram, “Thank you @donatella_versace for once again letting me share in your creative vision.”

But shouldn't we also be thanking the nation of Genovia for the inspo?
